I would not recommend that you would remove your cats due to they will set of your o2 sensors which monitor your fuel amount. Your engine will never run the same. Do what i did, i bought 4 high flow cats (2 precats and 2 cats) and welded them on myself. I am 17 years old and it only took me 2 hours and about 300 bucks. My HP increased a ton and has a great tone.

Cats

Where did you get your cats from, I was going to replace the two per side with a single per side high flow units from troyer. they say that you only need one.

I run with one per side. But just that wont give you much power but will increase the volume of your exhaust.
Are you getting custom tunes also?

I replaced the muffler with higher flowing model about a year ago, also planning a cold air intake upgrade, efans, and a programmer in the future.

If you want to save some money, rather then buying a new intake. Check out this thread!
