cargo switch?

My dome light is on the overhead with its own switch

My 99 has both the "directional" overhead lights that are turned on by a switch on the dome and then an "all light" which is all the way up on the gauge light dimmer switch. Basically dial it to the brightest, then one "click" higher from there.

The overhead "directional" lights are called "map lights."
The cargo light is part of the "courtesy light" circuit, and should come on when you open the door or when you turn the dimmer completely to "bright" and then one notch further. If the cargo light doesn't come on when either of those events occur, then the bulb's burned out, or there's a more complex failure.
