I've replaced the dome light switch in my truck twice already. They last for about a year and start sticking. I WD-40 them and that helps them for a while and they finally just top working all together.
I'm off to buy another dome light switch. A least they are cheap. I'm gonna stock up before they go obsolete since I plan on keeping this truck.
Tiggie, are you talking about the dash mounted "dimmer" switch, that'll also turn the dome & bed cargo light on????
Never heard of folks having problems with them.
Sounds like there is too much load through through the switch.
Maybe someone has installed higher than specified wattage lamps in the dome or cargo lights & it just can't handle the extra load & overheats the switch contacts. Does the switch feel hot after the lights are on for a while????
