98 Expo window problems

98 Expo window problems
hey guys im new here...I got a 98 expo eddie bauer 4x4... my passenger side window wont work...all the other windows work fine..what would be the problem? how would i test to see if its only the switch??? Thanks

Remove the door panel and get to the 2-wire connector going to the window motor. Turn your key on to power the windows and then operate the window switch to see if you get power at the 2-wire connector. Polarity will be one way when pressing up, but polarity will reverse when pressing down. If you get power replace the window lift motor. If you don't get power replace the switch.

awesome thank you..i will try it as soon as i can...so if power is not going to the motor...then the switch is bad? and if power is going to the motor then motor is bad..right?...im new to Fords..never had one in my life..now i own 2

Considering this is a 98 I'm betting on a bad motor.

Hey guys i tested it today and it is the passenger side switch... when i took off the door and tested the 2 wires...they were fine just needed to be cleaned...so window works fine from driver side switch..just gotta replace the passenger side Thanks Again for all your help!!
