wow...thanks guys, I do believe however mine is not there, as I have a huge manifold w/filter on mine i think its the early banks kit...Ill go have a look tonight and see if I can find it. im glad the op brought this up as I wondered why my boost was so low.
Do you still have the original factory muffler on? if so it is most likely so clogged with soot that you cant get the exhaust flowing fast enough to spin the turbo at a rate that will build boost any higher. When I first got my truck and put a turbo on it, I couldn't get above 5 psi boost , then I got a wild hair to upgrade teh exhaust. When i pulled the muffler , it was so clogged and heavy that I couldn't lift the thing . A 4"system with a straight through big truck muffler later and it would do whatever I wanted it to ( I've currently got it cut back to where it won't go much over 8-10 psi though, I tow heavy and I dont' like to have to just sit there glued to the gauges )

Hey, thanks for the reply RLD. Ya man, I cut the muffler off a couple of years ago. I may have to bring the truck into an actual diesel shop to see why such low boost
deceptichop:
have you ruled out the possbility of a bad boost gauge?
Thank you very much for the reply 94. Its a brand new $60 Phantom AutoMeter gauge. And Fidy Diesel and I have seen the difference in boost due to the mods we have done to her. So I know the gauge is good.
