I am a new member and am in need of help. I have an 04 f350 6.0 TD. there is a small radiator hose located right under the turbo unit. I had a mechanic tell me how to fix the problem. he just didnt tell me how the heck I get that little hose on. I managed to remove the old hose but cannot seem to be able to get the little hose remotely close. anyone have any similar problems?
Check out the 6.0 forum and either do a search for 'EGR Cooler Hose' or look at the technical guides. Several folk have successfully replaced this hose without major disassembly.
There are some *excellent* technicians who frequent the 6.0 forum and they certainly know how to do this replacement.

The poster was thinking his block heater was leaking but it turned out it was the hose you are working with. The thread has a good description of how to change it, part numbers and even a couple of pictures.
Good luck and welcome to FTE!
