orange hose

I have E.X. 6.0 that leaking coolant from an orange hose on top of the engine... How do you change this hose??? Where do you guys and gals buy your parts at???

I buy parts at Ford

Orange is the original, Blue is the updated hose. Unique Service Procedures shows the hose, you have to rotate/pull to unlock the hose.

Here is a handy dandy tool to use. And a picture of the cap that needs to come off. That bolt to the right in the picture is a bear. The picture with the mini ratchet gives you an idea of what you need. (THE TURBO DOES NOT HAVE TO COME OUT!!!!!!!) Have fun!!!

you have to line up the index I will try to post a pic worth 1000 words

I had to cut mine off

if you get it wrong it locks on harder

dont worry you will get it

Ill try again to post the pic computers arnt my thing

I will find a better pic of both the hose and the oil cooler cover
but this is the housing and the index yor looking straight at it I dont know how to highlight it

heres the hose had a hard time getting the pic to work computers kicken my a$$

line up that catch on the hose with the index in the first pic so it slides off

notice how the flat edge on the metal at the end of the hose marks the catch also the two white lines on this newer hose

see how the lip holds the hose on with the catch
