Cab Removal

So i own my own repair shop and have worked on countless vehicles of all types. Some jobs big and some jobs small. I've been working on cars my whole life and owned my shop for 12 years. I would like to remove the cab from my 90 F250 5.8 4x4 to finish rust proofing the chassis and to replace the crossmember at the back of the cab. I've already did the back half (removed bed, rust proofed both chassis and bed, added steel diamond plate floor to bed, changed spring shackles and shock brackets, new rear gas tank and fuel pump, rustproof brake lines and painted chassis. But the more I look at this cab removal project the more I get scared. Is it worse than it looks? What has to be removed besides the obvious? I'm scared.

If you are looking to remove the cab and nose as an assembly, that would be the easiest. especially if you have a lift.

4 cab mount bolts
2 rad support bolts
Fan and shroud(rad hoses)
All electric plugs going between the body and chassis
shifter linkage & clutch linkage
e-brake cable
throttle linkage
steering linkage

the just pick the cab up a little and look for anything that may still be attached

A cab removal is really very easy. I found the hardest part was the rusty bolts, which wasnt that hard at all.

Along with Brads list, do not forget your speedo cable!

Do I have to remove the a/c condensor? (a/c works great) I know compressor lines will have to come off.

When I did mine, I just undid the a/c lines and let the lines hang.
