Torsion bar location help
I have a 1997 f-150 off-road my torsion bar broke so i took them both out ,now can,t find any replacements. Ford says that my spring code is obsolete. Any suggestions would be great

Definately a bone yard. These trucks are a dime a dozen now, most of the bone yards around here have multiples of this truck. I think that any bars from this year will fit it, may have different spring rates though. I think the spring codes are stamped on the ends of the bars, try to match them up.

Ya i have been calling salvage yards,still waiting to hear back for my spring code 4.Ford still sells the code 7 7700 bars,anyone know how stiff of a ride that would be,or what the next spring code from 4 would be. i thought i read the only bars i can't use are from crew cabs?
