How to replace slider in rear window? Help please?
I just bought an '02 super crew f150 with a sliding rear window. In the process of shipping from Florida to the Bahamas, a guy at the forwarder in Fl. locked my keys in the truck and instead of calling for a lock smith to come and open my truck he instead took it upon himself to break out the middle sliding window to gain entry back into the truck. After this happened they still went ahead and shipped to truck from Fl. to me in the Bahamas without fixing it or even giving me a phone call to tell me what had happened. Yes I was and still am very upset and angry
To make a long story short my brother was in Fl at the time and went to a ford dealer ship and picked up just the middle sliding window that I need. I took it to a body shop here and the gentlemen doesn't know how to swap the old one out with the new one. All is as done before is change the all back window.
Has anyone done this before and can give me some advice to share with him so I can get my window fixed please? Any help will be greatly appreciated!!
You have to pull out the whole window and frame. I've busted two back windows and both times they changed the entire window. I did get a tinted window the second time. Scott

This is what I've been told by a lot of different people, that I can not just change the middle slider and that I have to change the entire back window. I do not understand that though because the middle sliding piece of glass that I have came from a parts department at a ford dealer ship. Why would you be able to buy just the sliding glass if you can not just replace it. If they manufacture this piece and you can buy it alone there has to be a way to change it, right?
You can change the one piece but You have to pull the frame out of the truck. I think the rubber seal gets pryed over the cab window opening. Good Luck Scott
