I was planning on dropping by next week to have lunch with you and pick up a PVH solenoid at your dealership...now this. Might have to hold off the solenoid until this one is resolved. I was planning on spending some money on the wife's birthday gift, next month. Oh well she'll understand (the wife).
John, you and I both know that these kind of things always happen at the worst of times. In any event, be thankful you're not the poor guy that just financed a purchase on one of these trucks used, out-of-warranty and have two pistons melted due to injector failures, and now not be able to work due to a non-running truck and no money to make the payments. How would you like to be in THOSE shoes?
Either way, the parts you need for your truck will be in stock regardless. Trust me, I get on my parts manager's case about making sure we keep certain parts in stock.

Thanks for this post guys. I got a p0676 code with the CEL. Headviking had the higher reading (.083) on the red mine was on the white. A couple of quick questions for you who have done this:
If I am going to replace the glow plug harness should I still get the removal tool?
What is the best way to get at the harness and plugs? I don't want to remove more than I have to. It even looks like I could get at #6 without removing anything, but I don't think I could get at the rest of the harness well.
Thanks,
Larry

I just got back from the dealership parts store. They gave me glow plugs parts # zd-11. Can those be used instead of zd-13? Or did they give me the wrong ones?

ZD-11s are glow plugs for 7.3L engines from 1995 to 1997. Take them back and get the correct ones.
Headviking I find myself reading a few words of your posts...sigh...look at the hypnotic avatar...read a few more words....sigh a little more....back to the avatar....anyone else having this technical difficulty?
You might be able to get your local dealership parts department to price match Tousley's; the one here in town will price match a printed dealership's price. So I usually show them the price on the iPhone and save the shipping. It's worth a shot with your local dealership. I lost faith in eBay years ago over some sour experiences, but that's just me.
