Question for Scanguage owners

Gene here, back again with a Scangauge question. There are a couple of gauges that I notice on the Scangauge that I do not recognize, wondering if someone can shed some light.

GPH, LOD, HPR...

Also in looking at the X-guage list for 6.0, I have added EOT, TFT, and FICM voltage. Are any of those others vital to add. Truthfully I am not too sure what most of them mean. But I know some are like Mass fuel desired, Fan speed sensor, a few referencing the EGR valve, exhaust back pressure, and many others.

Any input on those? Here is the X-guage list I was looking at...

Ford Specific XGauges : Linear Logic : Home of the ScanGauge

Thanks

GPH = gallons per hour the truck is burning

HPR = horsepower

I'm not sure on LOD.

LOD. Engine load as a percentage

You'll want to load up Boost (or PSI-Turbo boost- also MAP - Manifold Absolute Pressure), EBP (Exhaust Back Pressure), BAR (Barometric pressure) and make sure these three read within tenths of each other KOEO. The BAR reading is a baseline for the computer to use in calculating several items of importance to the turbo.

Other cool stuff is your FSS or Fan Speed Sensor shown in RPM's. You'll want to load up the IPR %. It should be in the 23 - 30 PSI range at hot idle. Maxing out at about 80% or so under WOT or heavy load. IPC should also be loaded. That's the PSI of your HPO system.. Max value is 4,005 for a stock truck. Idle should be around 6 -700, but the IPR% is actually a more important indicator of the health of your HPO system. That'll get you started...

IPR % can be thought of as a measure of how much the valve is closed. The higher the % the more the valve is supposed to be closed and the more oil is being commanded to your injectors.

ICP is a pressure reading in PSI of your High Pressure Oil (HPO).

I'm not sure how accurate LOD, HPR, and GPH are. I don't get a reading for LOD but I do for HPR and GPH.

FYI--there is a list of X gauge codes listed here somewhere that have been tested for the 6.0 trucks as not all those on the LL site work correctly.

Got it, so the IPR or IPC I am guessing can help diagnose a problem that I have read about on here when the truck wont start hot, but will after cooling because the oil has cooled and thickened up? I forget the name of that part, lol

STC fitting or stand pipes and or dummey plugs

ICP and more importantly IPR% is used to chech for a HPO leak

I never got more than 3 of them to even read anything after all that setup, but I have an 04. They are designed to detect contribution/balance faults if I had to guess. I'm sure there is a more specific/technical answer than I can give you.
