I have a 4x4 E4OD that you can have if you pick it up. It's driveable, but I'm not going to pretend that it's perfect.

different tail shafts on a 2x4 and 4x4 models. Not sure that they can be changed or not. I know the gas trans cannot be.

Is it possible to turn a 2 wheel drive trans into a 4 wheel trans?

Not really. You have to switch the tailshafts. In order to do that, you apparently have to disassemble the entire transmission. It's not really worth doing.

Do you know if it like slipped when you had it in?
Or the mileage on it?

My trans i have in now will last me, for some time. but i want to find a back up so when that one does finally go i wont have to search everywhere.
