Turtle slow
When i take off at a light it will shift really easy but if your fully down on the pedel it will over rev like around 3,000 rpms sometimes. and it takes along time to get up to speed, then at the secound shift it like sometimes shifts really hard. What could it be? i dont want it to be a nascar but if it could get up to speed alittlle faster would be great. would the VSS efect it ?
Its a 96 F250 has E4OD 4x4 with 4.10s and 300,000miles

Sounds like TC not locking or clutches slipping. Mine did that in my IDI once but skipped second and locked the TC in third. And I know it was shot.

If the speedometer reads normally, it's probably not the VSS.
'Scuse the wise-@$$ question, but how's the level and condition of the fluid?

Well the truck is still driveable, But the trans will prolly have to be rebuilt.
Have any of you guys tried one of these transmission rebuild kits? Are they any good? Do you have to be a transmission expert to do them?
Or
does some one have an E4od sitting around, who lives near Cleveland Ohio?
