Ok I'm a little confused on this. I removed a tube from the top of the HPOP and took HPOP out. This tube is still plugged into engine. Is this the discharge tube (which then needs to be removed) or is this the branch tube.?
Yes, this is the discharge tube. To remove it, you'll need a "quick-release" type tool to insert into where the black plastic sleeve is, compress it and pull the tube outward. Once removed, apply shop air into the branch tube using a rubber tipped air nozzle. The purpose of using a rubber tipped air nozzle would be to ensure that air doesn't leak out between the nozzle and the opening into the branch tube. The purpose of applying air pressure into the opening, is to pressurize THE REST OF THE HIGH PRESSURE OIL SYSTEM. Does this make sense now? So now, if you hear no air exiting with air applied, it means you don't have an issue with any other part of the system, other than what you've already removed.
By the way, pay very close attention to what the discharge tube looks like, around the curved part of the tube. Does it look like it has contacted the under side of the high pressure oil pump cover? If so, you may want to replace the cover and tube as well.
Thanks a bunch. I don't have the correct tool, so I reinstalled the HPOP and put air into the top. I'll post a video soon.
It did seem like I heard a faint squishing sound coming from the passenger side injector area. Should I pull the valve cover off to better listen to see if any of the injectors are leaking oil?
Pull the passenger side valve cover off and repeat the test to pinpoint the source of the leak. I'll bet either an injector has blown its top, or the standpipe to the rail has popped loose.
Sounds like it is #1 injector is leaking oil (which I replaced in the spring)
Where can I get replacement O rings. I suppose the people I bought the injector from should hook me up since the injector is already bad (injector warehouse)
I'll now take a break eat and relax before pulling the oil rail so I don't drop a bolt into my engine (not that I have ever done that before)
The high pressure oil pump cover gasket can be re-used as long as it wasn't damaged during removal. However, does your truck already have the updated cover with the machined groove on the underside? How about the condition of the discharge tube? Is there any evidence of contact with the under side of the cover. Because if so, now would be the time to replace the cover and tube.

I didn't see any evidence of contact. I just found a picture you posted of the old/new cover and will recheck it. While I am in there I will replace the o-ring even though it looks good.
