New to this forum, I need a little help with a registration form in Texas please. I just bought a '55 f-100 in Arizona, need to transfer title. On the application it ask for empty weight, carrying capacity, and tonnage. I don't have any of this info, can anyone help me out please. Also, it has a place for the sellers signature, he did sign and notarized the old title. Also sent a signed sales receipt, how to get around not being able to get his signature on the application? Will post pics when it arrives from the desert , thanks for any help in advance. L8R ZFLASH
Hey Z,
I'm in Austin & have a registered 1950 F1. The process in
Travis County wasn't hugely involved - You just need a bill of sale &
a blue title. They may ask you to provide proof of Vin # as well. That would require you to go to an inspection place & get them to fill out the form verifying your vin# on the vehicle.
It's been a while but I don't think it was much more complicated than that other than the check you have to write for the priviledge of getting Texas plates & registration. Are you running into some problems?

Welcome aboard. Somebody should be along soon to help you out.
Hey Zflash,
Nice but not as cool as an old truck, Hey before I forget - remember to bring proof of insurance to the title place - can't get anything done in this state without that.

Thanks got it yesterday, truck was picked up in AZ. yesterday too. Can I get it registered and plates before it gets here, or do I have to get it inspected first? Thanks, L8R ZFLASH
Hey Z,
I'd give it a shot with what you have - might work just fine.
If they ask for a vin verification then you get an extra step before getting plates.
