Sure its not the HPOP lines on top going down the valley and thur the hole on passager side and then accross the starter. It could be o-rings in the HPOP lines if not thte turbo. Chet

Yeah you need to perform the standard procedure for finding an oil leak.

1. Wash down the engine thoroughly, soap it down (simple green is what I use) and wash it until the water dripping off the bottom is clean.

2. Stuff paper towels around the HPOP with the removal process in mind. I used one towel around each plug/fitting so its easy to isolate the leak.

3. Start the truck and stomp the pedal a couple times.

4. Remove the paper towels and looks for signs of oil.

If there's nothing on the HPOP, you need to get under there and look around with a nice bright light and some more paper towels.

Your #1 priority should be finding where the oil is coming from and being 100% sure of it.

Welcome to FTE.As mentioned above,it sure could be the braided hoses leaking. Not the actual hose but the inner or outer orings. There is a plug on the bottom of the HPOP that Ford calls ''non-servicable''.It is servicable and Clay or Bob(Guzzle)sells a kit.Did you change or delete the the seal on the pedastal?
Since you did not find a smoking gun when you took everything apart again you may need to re-install,clean everything up good, run the truck and keep an eye out for the leak.
Good luck!

If it is for sure oil and not diesel....I know...had to ask.It has to be the rear main oil seal. You have looked over evrything on top that could leak oil.We do not usually see rear main oil seal leaks.Mine leaks at the rear main,it keeps the dust cover oily and usually leaks about a quart every 5000.

Could be valve cover gasket or rear fuel line leak on back of head. Just a guess.

Check around the one on that side. Wipe around it and see. Check the hole in the valley and see if theres oil there, by the fire wall. Theres not to many places it could be coming from. Turbo pedistal, turbo, HPOP, valve cover gasket on the starter in fact if it ain't fuel. Good luck, Chet Post where you are, maybe a member can help you look if there close.
