So i have another oil leak. I read on some threads here and saw that it was probably the turbo pedastool O-rings. I replaced those lastnight did not solve the oil leak. Its leaking somewhere on the engine valley cause its running through the pee hole in the back making it look like its the rear main seal. Where could it be leaking from in there. its starting to P*** me off so any help would be great.
Hey Brian. To start off, don't just start throwing parts at your engine. You need to clean the valley out with simple green and a water hose. Then you can find the leak a little easier. Is the leak in the back or front? There are a few places that can leak on our engins, you just need to find out where the leak is first.
I did clean it and i looked to be at the back by the turbo, so i assumed it was the turbo pedastool. I cleaned it again last night after the repair to check for leaks started it up let it idle for 30 mins went to check it again engine valley was oily again and another large puddle waterproofing my driveway.
One more thing i don,t think that is makes a difference but i switched from 15w-40 rotella t to motorcraft 15w-40. I have ran that rotella for the last 250,000 miles
i have the same problem its your exhaust backpressure valve. I ordered a blank pedastal and a new output flange to delete the whole ebpv, but you can get a rebuild kit.

This is what I am thinking also. Pull the IC pipe out of the way and look at the EBPV shaft coming out of the pedestal.
Yeah i just looked after cleaning the pedastal lastnight there is oil coming from that valve again. would it be better to gut the ebpv valve or buy the rebuild kit for it

Depends on how cold it get where you are. That valve is to help warm the engine in cold weather.
