got the ip back in place but having been fighting trying to get it lined up with the timing gear for 30minutes, any tricks to this or just keep turning it little by little till it slides on.

just a matter of turning it to get it in, also before you start it, loosen all the injector lines, it takes a while for the system to bleed the air out
I have everything back together and have cranked on it a couple times for 15 seconds. I am letting it cool for a bit as the starter started to smoke on the second 15 second cranking session. I cracked 4 of the lines not all eight cause some of them are so hard to get to. I sure am hoping i got everything back together right.
Started on the fourth 15 second session and had one leak on one return line. fixed that and know it is warming up for a test drive. I don't know much about the timing but i sounds great and does not smoke. I am going to try and get in tomorrow for a dynamic timing. I set it about the thickness of the line off to the passenger side?
Just went for about a five mile drive. truck is running well but way down on power, the gas pedal feels mushy and does not come back like it used to. Also i was only able to hit 6 pounds of boost pulling a hill at 2500 where before i would hit 10psi almost instantly on flat ground without trying.
