The wife has an 03 6.0 Ex. what would cause the truck to "slip" going into second gear and then make the O/D light flash. If you put the truck in Netural and kill it, restart and back to drive it fixes the problem for a day or so....then same ol song and dance. Any ideas (ie. transmission shift position sensor)
When the tow/haul light (there is no OD light on a 6.0L truck) flashes a code is stored in the PCM. It will still be in memory even if the light isn't flashing any more. You need a high end scanner to read Ford transmission codes.
Without the code just start buying parts hoping to find the right one.
