Bulb socket removel....
Hey guys,
I have questions, 08 F250: licence plate bulb sockets terminals are gone corroded beyond repair and need to be replaced... Is there a special tool used to remove these sockets from the plug without destroying them? I found the sockets on www.fordparts.com with an item number 13411A but its only the socket itself, according to the schematic anyway...

Sockets
The new sockets should come with about 6" of wire on them. Usually you just cut the old socket wires with a pair of wire cutters, and then just splice the new socket on. I'm sure you can get a new socket at your local auto parts store instead of waiting for the new one to be delivered.
