I am looking for a replacment socket complete with pig tails. I cant seem to find it locally or online. I can find the socket itself but I have so much corrosion that the wire is shot for a inch or two. Plus there is not enough room to solder it even if the wire was good.
Does anyone make such a thing? If so whare can I get one?
I looked up your truck and am showing that the socket you need takes a 168 bulb. That socket in the picture looks like a 168 socket. Are you sure it can't at least be made to fit? If you say it's different, then it's different. Just curious if it could at least be manipulated into what you need. Could you post a picture of your old socket and then we can take a guess at the bulb it fits?
Did you have any luck finding a replacement for the E97B-13A686-A light socket? I need one for my 2002 ranger.
Yes I did. I got mine from NAPA and had to buy blade type terminals to fit to the back of the socket.
I was looking for ones with pigtails but I could not find one. So I tried a bunch of connectors to find ones that slid on without touching each other. There is just about ZERO room in the socket.
Numberdummy, I've got a 2001 f350 dually and cannot find a socket to fit the side marker lights anywhere! Can find the pigtail that fits on the socket but the socket is too corroded to work. Any ideas or part numbers? I've looked everywhere.
I have a1974 f250 and I need to hook up a license plate light to my bumper.
.I was under the rear of the truck looking at the wiring and I noticed on the driver side of the frame is a light with a lense that was diconected, I took the male end coming from the light and plunged it into the female end that splices off the main set of wires turned the headlights on ..and it light up, what is this light for?
Now on the passenger side is another female end that is spliced from the main set of wires, I was assuming that the license plate light would plug into this but I cant the bulb to turn on when I try, I put a test light to it and it lights up so why wont my licenses plate light work?
Its a standard license plate bulb that I bought from autozone( actually its the second one) designed for a 12 volt system.
Any help would be great since the cops in my town have pulled over for not having a license plate light.
Thank you
