Reason: spelling
Is the '91 an F150? If so, no matter witch engine it goes from, it's gonna bolt up.
Only 3 engines offered in that model for F150's, 300-6cyl, 302 and 351. All witch share the same bell housing bolt patern.
If it's from an F250HD or F350, it will be the better ZF5 heavy duty trans witch is MUCH better than the half ton Mazda tranny. Same rule applys, must come off a 300, 302 or 351.
well my '87 is a swb fleetside that will prob never tow anything again i dont need a granny gear. so the mazda tranny is a bad choice for just driving? i dont know if the speedo on 87 is manual or electronic!

If your not gonna tow anything, the Mazda tranny will be perfectly fine for driving around.
Both 87-91 have speedo cables so your good to go on that.
