NP435 vs. T-18

NP435 vs. T-18
What is the difference in the 2 of these? Is one better than the other? Can the bellhousings be swapped? Reason being I am getting ready to swap a 460 into my truck. The motor is bolted to a 4spd but it is in an 85 F150. The guy doesn't know what tranny it is. Mine is the 435, I just need to know if I should grab the tranny as well.

not much diference both very strong and have grany 1st with 1:1 4th
you should probobly grab the bellhousing unless your truck already has a bigblock in it becaust the 460 and 351/400m have diferent bolt patterns that the sb 300 302 351 etc
the bells are interchageable between the trans so its just the engine side you have to have right
