I have a '93 f-150 with a 4.9 l and 5spd i am going to put in an older bilt 302. Will the older engine mount up to the trans.? i think on these newer pickups the bell housing and tranny are one unit. HELP!

If you are dropping in a 1966 or later block with a six-bolt bellhousing pattern, you're there. The 300, 302, and 351 all use the same bolt pattern, although '65 and earlier 289, 260, and 221 all have a 5-bolt pattern.
The Mazda 5-spd OD tranny uses the same 1-1/16 inch outside diameter, 12-spline input shaft as the rest of Ford light truck trannies.
This should be a bolt-up swap for you.
