whats this mean? which one do you prefer? notice much of a difference?
kinda hard to compare though i guess, cus the super duty has longer leafs for an easier ride over these older trucks.so i guess if you don't feel much difference, then the bilsteins are pretty stiff and hurting the ride lol?

KYB, because they work and last a long time.

I have an HD50TTB front end in the IDI. It provides a smoother ride than the F350 PSD's D60 does. I prefer the Bilstein shocks. The Gabriels were barely less money than the Bilsteins and I believe the Bilsteins are a superior shock. I think my Gabriels need to be replaced already. The Bilsteins have been on over a year longer and are still fine.

I've had good luck with Monroe Gas Magnums on my '87 with cabover camper.I just replaced them after 60K. In searching here last week, Dave S. was using them on his plow truck and recommended them, but I probably should let him speak for himself.

Bilsteins no doubt are the best in my mind. My truck had monroe before the bilsteins and night and day difference. The bilsteins as soon as i drove it it felt like a different truck and they hold a smooth ride but still stiff like a hd truck should be. Shock warehouse has good deals on them lots on the powerstroke forum say buy there. just my input

If you keep a look out, you can get a code to key in while ordering and save 10%-20%.

Jason,
it was hard to pay the $.but i made the swap from the ultras to the 4600 bilstein and what a great upgrade! i didn't think this heavy duty truck could ride this good.
thanks for the advice, though it took a bit to apply it.just wanted to thank you for sharing your experience.the difference is night and day.was well worth the $ spent.
