Gabriel Shocks ?

Is it true that "Gabriel" makes all shocks?
I heard that Gabriel and Edlebrock are the only manufacturers of shocks in the US. True?

If not, are Gabriel shocks good? I have Rancho 5000's now, but they are not long enough, so I am putting longer ones on. Gabriel are the ones I was gonna buy. Any thoughts??
