DP TUNER 80E QUESTION

I am just wondering why when I start my pickup in the 80e tune it seems to rev the motor at initial startup...I don't think its too good for the motor but I emailed Jody about it and he said it shouldn't do this, haha don't laugh but its like a rrrrrrruuuuuuuuuuuummmmmmm!!!! Mutch more than when in stock tune...any ideas? Oh, I haven't tried it in the 120 tune as I usually let the motor and turbo cool down in stock mode after playing Ricky Racer smokin rice burners

2nd thing, when I am on empty fuel the truck starts like first turn of the starter and it is only on empty when I can hear the fuel pump kind of buzzing while waiting for glow plugs, is this normal or could these two things be related? I haven't tested the fuel pressure. It's got 157,000 miles and runs great on a full tank just takes a couple cranks more of the starter(literally like five cranks more is all) Thanks for the input in advance!

How old are your tunes? I thought the new tunes all started like stock, then as the temp increased they would allow the full tune to run. Haven't checked into it, but that is what I heard they were doing now.

Your low fuel issue probably has more to do with sucking air than anything. Could be a fluke too. The fuel pump on the frame rail should always sound the same really.

I'd say send in your chip and have it updated.

As for running your truck to empty. Dont. I dont let mine EVER get below 1/4 and hardly ever below 1/2.

same here never below 1/4 and hardly below 1/2 if u go below 1/4 ur fuel is slaughing inside ur take and sometimes pumps air, ur fuel is like antifreez to ur motor its a cooling type thing and and air makes it over heats causing it to burn up faster..... i think thats right let me know if im wrong please
