Thats what I started thinking, maybe an aluminum intake with a 4 barrel carb with headers and exhuast

Very nice looking truck. Good job on the find, glad you could save it. Sounds like the son didn't know/care about what he had, and it very well could have ended up at the junkyard.

Lost a 2wd F250 couple years ago to that.

Oh yeah, forgot to comment on the mileage. 14.31 is great. I doubt many owners get that, so any mods might effect that number negatively. Does it have all the original vucuum hoses and what not?

Yes, it's 100% original under the hood. I will take a few photos tomorrow and post them.

If you change that truck some of us will hunt you down and drive it over you.
Well not really, but that is what should be done if you mod it.
You lucky dog you.

600 Bucks!?!?! You stole that truck! I paid $9K for mine (Restored) What a gorgeous truck and with a four speed to boot! I would leave it stock or at the most tires and rims with a mild lift but everything period correct and numbers matching.

Here's mine when I brought it.

And here it is now.

Send us more pictures of your nice truck!

Here are a few pics under the hood. You can see that it still has the original plug wires and belts on it.

Again I am speechless. How do you sleep at night? What is amazing to me is the condition of the original rubber floormat and the fact that the shift ***** still have the etchings you can read.

You have a real treasure!

Note the delivery price of $9,300 you'd pay three to four times that for a similarly equipped F250 today and still only end up with half the truck these old dents are.
