Awesome find!!! the paint and interior look cherry! the only mods i'd make, if you're so inclined, is wheels and tires.

I have to ask, did the son-in-law have no clue as to what he was sitting on here? $600 for that truck is a downright steal!

I decided that I'm going to leave it all stock. The wheels are coming off next week so I can bead blast them. Then I will re-paint them white. I find it interesting that this truck never came with hubcaps. If I can find a set of stainless dog dish hupcaps, I will put them on anyway.

Great find, I would say you hit the Dentside Lottery! I'm glad you are just doing wheels and tires.

Completely, and totally, leave it stock. That's one nice truck.

Don't let that beautiful appearance fool you. After sitting for so long, it's just a matter of time before you start having lots of problems with it. Let me give you your money back and take it off your hands before the trouble starts.

i'd really be tempted to install a set of good headers and a nice sounding exhaust, and buy another set of wheels/new set of slightly bigger and more aggressive tires and be done with it. Keep the old set of wheels/tires to throw them back on to be able to keep the "original" factor. nice find you don't know how lucky you are, especially for the money spent!

Make sure to spend some cash on a dry place to store if you dont already have a space. My brother bought a 71 ford with 50,000 miles and let it sit outside... Its bad news.

All i can say is WOW!!! i wish mine looked that good. I would have to agree with everyone else, and leave it stock. I personally would take that push bar or whatever it is in the front off. if it were mine though i would lift the sucker!!

wheels and tires and a muffler. if the stock exhaust is in need of replacement due to sitting, get a nice dual setup. id leave it stock, replace what needs replaced with better stuff, like maybe a stainless exhaust if thats a problem, but definately tires and wheels and maybe some bolt on stuff.

It's parked in my shop.

It had a winch on the front. I took the winch off and plan on removing the mount. I was looking at the original Ford invoice. The winch mount was dealer installed.

The previous owner just installed 4 new Toyo Open Countrys and I had the exhaust replaced with dual 2 1/2" with Flowmasters.

I would preserve the factory rims as best as I could and store them in a cool, dark and dry place.
X2
If it were me. I would just "wheel and Tire" it. Now that is a SURVIVOR!! No need to do anything to it.
Nice score. I think we all get these dream deals at least once in our lives. It has happened to me a couple time in mine. I makes up for all of the bad ones. LOL!
Nice truck
