Is a 1975 grille shell the same as a 77. By shell i mean without the inserts. The inserts can be chaged out for 77 ones correct? Cause i found a good 75 grille that i want to change to a 77 style.
If I remember my Dennis Carpenter and LMC Catalogs correctly the inserts for the 73-77 are interchangeable with the exception of the mounting hardware. The 73-75 use the metal clip on nutplates and the 76-77 used the plastic inserts. But as far as the Grille Shell goes the 73 - 77 shells were the same. The shell changed in 78 for the bigger square opening.
Sorry, old q101 skit . But yes, it will bolt right in. Keep the clips for the body bolts 'cos they'll ream you a new one at NAPA. If you need mounting screws and the plastic things for the inserts, go to Ace. LMC's kit is POSIAB (piece of $#!+ in a bag)
