gp prob

ok dumb question but my gp system isnt working proper. all 8 plugs test good. wts comes on but for like 20 secs. glowplugs do not feel warm at all. and hard to start. i figured relay was bad. replaced no luck. so i tested the terminals and everything gets power except gp wire. but oddly ground wire is carrying current. which pretty sure it shouldnt right? thinking gp controller crossed somewhere. any way to rig aound without having to replace atleast for temp purposes

Did you read the two stickies at the top of this forum? One is for the early glow system, the other for the later glow system.
Read whichever one applies to your truck, then report back.

That is exactly how mine works and it works just fine.

How did you test your plugs?

What do you mean exactly? do they all cycle like the gauges do in new vihicles?

gp prob fixed bad controller. by passed it for temporary. how much is a new controller and any brand better?
and the charge gauge works and temp now. but no tach, oil pres pegged out high, fuel pegged out over full running. key on NR the fuel gauge pegged oil resets to zero, tach bumps like its ready to go. key off the oil press always returns to middle of indicator. tried to diff dashes. same thing. fuses all good. even fuse links. dont knw if adding a ground somewhere close would help
