Thanks Shane,
Already installed the BedRug. The dust is blowing in along the sides of the tailgate.
Wow, thats amazing. Mines pretty tight.
You can go to any truck accessory store and they sell a rubber seam that sticks on the sides,as well as the bottom to seal out the dust. I believe they are around 30.00.
let me get this straight, you have dust in your pickup bed.correct.
I know this may be difficult for some of you to comprehend so I'll go slowly...... there are some truck owners who put canopys on the bed to protect what they haul from the elements.....by elements I mean rain, you know...the wet stuff that falls out of the sky, dust....what your house is likely full of, etc....
Often we carry things that we would rather not get wet or covered with dirt. Perhaps you go camping on occasion. After a nice long drive on a back road you arrive, open the canopy and find all your gear covered in a thick layer of super-fine dirt.......I know, you don't care, hell you're a man and eat more dirt than that every damn day!
If you haul nothing but horse ***** and rocks in your truck good for you, as for me, I prefer my stuff to arrive as clean as when I loaded it.
Besides, I've got a '75 Ford to haul the rocks and horse ***** if need be
Okee dokee then ...... seems like someone may have gotten a little dust in their cornflakes a user with a handle of sandman is surprised about someone concerned with dust in their bed ..... I am not surprised. LMAO.
As with srkr my BedRug seals very tight on the sides of the tailgate. There is never any dust, (or horse ***** and rocks) on the cargo.
Dr. T, if I can help you out in any way, please PM me.
Matt
Well, I'm going to jump on this. I'm not the OP and priority goes to him for sure.
I called truck add ons in Lexington in an attempt to figure out if my in bed UWS toolbox can still be used with any tonneau cover installed. The roll up like Truxedo and the 3 piece flip tops appear to be closely workable for me, but the installation of all these requires 3 inches inside the edge of the bed rails, which will not allow me to open my toolbox.
Is this true? I find it hard to believe that I would be making an unusual question here, as the person on the phone was nice and seemed well informed, he also seemed to think that I was asking an odd question.
I have a toolbox, heavily relied on. I also tow fifth wheel trailers, so a tonneau has to be of the Truxedo type I would think. If you have a solution, I would be really appreciative.
To the OP: Please don't hesitate to take priority here, I know I am intruding, but when a rep from a retail source takes the time to visit, I think it's great for all of us.
Go right ahead. I will let Matt know if I need anything and will be calling him for the next mods I order. I appreciate it when reps spend time on the forums.

You are correct. Unfortunately, the way the bed cover rails clamp to the bed rails they do tend to hang down. The only solution would be to modify the clamps, but it depends on how much of a clearance issue there is. Each tonneau company is a little different so its hard to say exactly.
