Trailer Mirror Upgrade

I currently have a 2004 F250 with standard power (non heated or turn signal) and am looking to upgrade to a telescoping trailer mirrors with heat and turn signal. I have received mixed information on wether this is doable due to wiring. One would think that the base wiring harness would be standard, then from the connection to the mirror would be were the options vary (pin outs from the wiring harness). Any insight into this is appreciated.

The towing/heat/turn mirrors will bolt up. Wether you have the wiring in place for the turn signals is questionable, but it's easy enough to do. Muth Mirrors has a pretty good write up with pictures on how and where to tap for turn signals should you need them.

I have the same model and year and have the small mirrors that are just power for moving them. It appears the power only has a small round plug where as the others have a flat grey plug. I want to upgrade to power with the blinkers in them. I have considered splicing the wires together and running a new wire for each blinker if the wire is not already there.

Anyone have an opinion on doing it this way?
