how much would new rear main seal cost installed guessing?

let’s say that’s exactly what is happening. How might I find that leak?

Welcome to FTE, Jphelps. Clean everything down with some simple green and start it up and see where your leak is coming from. It would be better if you start your own thread with a title that indicates your problem and tell us what your symptoms are. Many guys will pass over an older thread.

Below is a visual aid of the valley drain (under the turbo toward the firewall on passenger side) that often leads people to misdiagnose a simple oil leak as a rear main seal failure:
