I have a 1992 Ford F250 with the 5.0 and E4OD trans and 2 wheel drive. I was wondering what possibilities I have for a good cold air intake. I did many searches on here and didn't find what I was looking for. I did learn a lot though! I learned about the "Hot Air" intake for sure. So anyway, what can I do that's cheap to make my engine breath better? It's SD, not a MAF. It has the dual rubber hoses that have those goofy coils in them. It looks so terribly restrictive. I also heard about the intake snorkel from a 4.9 or 7.5 is better somehow? I'm not very familiar with these mods as you can tell. lol
Definitely do the 4.9/7.5 tube. The intake tubes between the air box and the throttle body are not that restrictive at all, especially on a stock or near stock motor.

My dad has a 95 F250 with a 5.8 (no mass air) and his tubes that go to the throttle body are more solid. Do you think If I got the ones like that it would help some? I can probably find it in the junkyard somewhere I'm sure

I grabbed a set of air intake tubes off of a 5.8 from the scrap yard and they dont have those springs running through them. Seems to do the job for me!
