engine removal
I recently bought a 1982 Bronco with a 351 W engine. The engine is locked up and I want to remove it for rebuild. I have top of engine torn down, heads removed. I have the bolts from the bell houseing and the engine mount bolts out as well as the starter removed.
I cannot get the flex plate bolts out ( it is auto trans. ) because the engine is locked so I can't turn the engine to get to the bolts. What kind of problem will I have getting the engine out?

If you dont have the room for the converter to fit coming out, you might have to drop the crank out. But that can be hard to get off. You can also unbolt the cross member from the frame, pull the drive shafts and just slide the transmission and transfer case back a little while still bolted to the cross member. None of it will be easy.
