I have never heard of such a thing. The bellhousing holes are not threaded. Did someone use smaller bolts with the head on the engine side? The top two are blind holes so you could not do that. Are there only 4 bolts holding the bellhousing on?

I am with Mike on this one I cant remember seeing any engine of any type that bolts to the tranny
Not saying it isnt so but I would guess it is a modification. Maybe someone tapped the tranny holes and drilled out the engine ones....but there are those blind holes in the engine block.
But people can be very resouceful if they put their mind to it

I've never seen such a thing either. My C6 for the 429 has one threaded bolt hole in the bell housing for one of the starter bolts.
