Heck no man! In Kentucky you can run it straight out of the exhaust manifold if you want! LOL. The only type of vehicle inspection that has to be done here is if you buy a vehicle out of state you have to take it to the sheriff's office and have it inspected in order to be able to get it registered and all that consists of is verifying that the VIN matches up. If we had emissions inspections here there would only be about 5 cars on the road! LOL
Yeah I'm glad it's the way it is here. I see no reason to have a cat on a diesel, except for it to get clogged up with soot! My '93 7.3 N/A still has the complete factory exhaust on it and it never had a cat on it. Really I see no reason for a cat on anything. A cruiser I had a few years ago had a problem with the cats rattling so they cut them off and it ran a hell of a lot better! With the cats on it I could only get 129 MPH out of it, without the cats I got 135 MPH! Crown Vics, even with the police interceptor package are pretty freakin slow in case you guys didn't know! LOL
