Good luck with your surgery. What are you going in for? (if you don't mind my asking)

 

It's all good. I could have sworn I had a signature filled out on here, but apparently it's gone now. So, I filled one out again. I just wish there was a way to have it post up each time automatically like the other boards I'm on. Anyway, no biggie. ***Edit: This time it automatically included my signature...so I guess I can almost disregard my own post on this one. LOL! ***

The surgery is for my eyes. I'm having Lasik done on Thursday. However, all of the scanning and mapping is being done on Wednesday (pre-op). So, I'm excited. However, as of Thursday morning (today), I got something in my one eye overnight some how. :-( So, now my eye is all irritated and I can't figure out what is in there and can't get it out. That might delay my surgery. My eye has been watery all day too. :-(

On the good side, I had a "pre-interview" today for a job in San Diego and I think it went very well. :-) They set me up with a full on interview tomorrow afternoon with the actual hiring managers of the company, so we'll see how it goes. Hopefully as well or better than today. That is if my eye doesn't swell up or something stupid over night.

How's your eye...did whatever it was come out? I've heard great things about Lasik's surgery. Keep us posted please. Also, I remember you having a different signature too. Weird that it messed up on you...hmm!!!!

 

Scott - Good luck on your big race weekend coming up with your bike. Definitely let us know how you did.

Bruce & Donna - I did really well in the pre-interview yesterday and today I have the "real" interview with the company at 3pm. So, I'm keeping myself busy until then by running around to different apartment complexes and looking at them and getting information so when we are ready to move, we will have what we need. Plus, it will keep my mind off the interview until it's time to show up. LOL So, I'm not quite sure exactly when I'll know, but I'll know how it went later today, but since I have to drive all the way back to Vegas right afterwards and will be stuck in the "weekender" traffic going to Vegas, I won't get home till late. So, I'll post up tomorrow on how I thought I did.

As for my eye situation, I think it's possible the piece of dirt or whatever it was in there came out, but my eye is still a bit puffy and swollen. Hopefully it will start to go down. I don't have my Lasik procedures until 8/31 and 9/1, so it still has almost a week to heal itself. It doesn't feel like it did last night, but it's still watering here and there, so I don't know if something is still in there causing it or is my eye trying to "fix itself" after the incident and going to water anyway even if the piece of dirt or whatever is already out. Who knows. I'm just hoping it doesn't delay my surgery because if I get this job, the tentative start date is 9/19 in San Diego, so I need to get the surgery done and the post-op care done too.

Anyway, wish me luck as I'm signing off for the rest of the day today because I have to sign out of the hotel soon and take off on my adventure around Oceanside, CA to look at apartments.

Eye injuries tend to heal pretty quick, so unless it's still in there, you should be fine by the time of your surgery.

Mornin' to you all! I hope everyone is having a glorious weekend.

I think I did very well in my interview yesterday. Only time will tell. Supposedly I should hear by early next week. Ya, I hate the wait, but what are you gonna do? LOL But the staffing company that sent me on the interview thinks I did really well considering how I did with them. The interviewers were very, very hard to read. Normally I can get a "feel" for how the interview went, but they were like stone. No smiles, no laughs, no nothing. Just straight to each question and wrote their answers down. I found out afterwards that they are like that with everyone. It's how their personalities are. That made me feel a bit better because I was worried that I didn't do as well as I thought. LOL So, hopefully I hear from them and get an offer letter of employment by early next week. Wooooohooo! I would start on 9/19 (Mon) if that's the case. Then we have 3 weeks to get all our crap together and get down there.

As for my eye, it is doing much better. I think the foreign object did come out at some point yesterday morning. It has been feeling much better and the swelling/puffiness is gone today. Still a touch irritated, but that's to be expected. I think it should be okay by Wed for pre-op. I know, like you all wanted to hear this. LOL

Anyway, I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend and I hope that Scott is enjoying his bicycle race weekend.

Only thing that drives me nuts is the last couple of times we have had people call to come see the house and then they don't show. That ticks me off. These are realtors. They are supposed to be professional (one was from Century 21 for gosh sakes!). Especially if they say they aren't sure when they are coming and we sit around all day waiting for them (such as my wife did yesterday) and then they never show up and never call. That's just irritating to me. I want to call and yell at them, but she won't let me. Anyway, that's my only beef today. LOL
