bypassing RABS question.

I'm going to bypass the RABS hydraulic module on my '93 F250. I don't know much about them, but I know I have pressure to the module and not out of it. I don't really care to have ABS on the rear anyway, so I figure bypassing is the way to go. My question:

I figure the easiest way to bypass would be to put a coupler between the two lines going into the module, does anyone know the size that would be needed? looks like it may be two different sizes, so I'm not even sure if I can find anything to make that happen.

Is there an easier way anyone could suggest?

Pulling the bulb out won't fix the problem with the valve.

I don't know the sizes but you're going about it the right way.

actually, the lights not even on. Granted, if it was it would just match my CEL. Its just a work truck for me, but I need the back brakes to work when hauling stuff, its a killer on the front brakes alone, not to mention a little dangerous.

you could take the rabs valve off and take it to the parts store and try to match something up. I've seen short pieces of line with different size fittings at NAPA and Autozone (You may need to ask, they may keep tham in the back of the store.) ANother alternative would be to cut the line and re flare it with a standard end.

...Better yet, if the parts store happens to have a rabs valve in stock you could use it to find the size of the fittings.

Ok, for some reson I can't quote..... Anyway I did what Bashby said. Took the rabs to Napa and had to use like 3 or 4 fittings and the shortest brake line. After I went under the dash and pulled the harness off the RABS unit so no more light or beeping(rumored after pulling the ABS warning lamp) would happen.

I think you may have it there, I wasn't even thinking of a short line, but that will also give me some flexibility with the connections. Maybe I can find a NAPA with the valve in stock to make it easier.

thanks for the suggestions.

To clarify, the lines were adapter lines and had different size fittings on the same line, so if they happen to make the right one all you will need is 2 female unions of the right size to couple it to your lines. If you find one that will work, post the part # for future reference.
