RABS light went off its rocker. . .

1st things first the truck in question is my 1995 f150 xl ec/reg bed 4.9efi & mod 2wd

Ok so last night I was sitting in the drive thru waiting for my food, while waiting I noticed my friendly (ABS) light decided to start flashing at me, I had no idea what it meant besides something to do with abs obviously, so I killed the truck, restarted, about 20 seconds later, light does the same thing, it would flash 15 times, stay solid for 2 seconds and repeat til the truck was shut off, I got home, checked brake fluid level (it was full as always) float was at the top, how ever if I pushed it down it would stay unless I poked it with a screwdriver, put the cap back on, then unplugged the sensor on bottom of reservoir, plugged it back in, restarted, 20 seconds later light comes on again, at that point I gave up, so tonight while the truck was off, I unplugged the RABS module (behind glove box) for a few seconds plugged it back in started the truck was done for a few minutes until I put my foot on the brake so I release e brake, and the (ABS) started doing its thing again, except this time it flashes 19 times still status solid for 2 seconds and repeats, so I just have up and went in side, tomorrow I'm thinking about disconnecting battery to reset the computer and seeing what that does, in the 14 months I've owned the truck the RABS has never worked, if I keep the RABS module unplugged will that cause more problems or will I be fine, I still want to know what the code 15 meaning memory loss meant, I haven't the slightest clue about abs systems and their codes (minus the fact that it keeps the brakes from locking up) other than that, I'm laying and would love the help! TIA!!

RABS Code 15 indicates the RABS module has an internal memory failure. I am not sure there is a Code 19, but given the symptoms I suspect the RABS module is bad.

Many folks stated their RABS never worked correctly. I have had several trucks of this vintage and had no issues with it, other than a bad hydraulic module. The last truck I owned (1992 F350) had a bad RABS hydraulic module, no codes but obvious the rear ABS function did not work, was solved by replacing that module.

So could I just unplug the module and be fine? I'm tempted to replace the module but since my abs has never worked don't want to buy a new only to have abs still dysfunctional and my (ABS) still flashing

Many folks have unplugged their RABS control module and lived happily ever after.
