Need to know location of turn signal flasher module on 2008 Ford F250 SD. Am replacing with LED module. The computer does not change the flasher rate until 2011 apparently. Am I correct that the module lies somewhere behind the radio/nav unit and can be accessed by removing the center dash panel. If so, what is the best way to remove the panel?
Your turn signals are controlled by the SJB.
The smart junction box (SJB) is also known as the generic electronic module (GEM).
See your owner's manual for the fuse locations for same; passenger kick panel. Best I can tell this is the SJB or GEM location.
This module detects current to lamps, and too low of current from LED lamp will be considered an open circuit (broken filament in bulb) and rapidly flash.
I think you will have to find a dealer that can make the programming changes or you will have to add resistors to create loading on the original circuit.
