Installed as part of the Trailer Special package on 1978/79 F100/350's & Bronco's.
There are other parts involved, you'll need to see the parts catalog illustration.
Illustration Section 160, Page #3. The Trailer Special parts aren't defined, just look for brackets not found on vehicles without it.

psquare7575, here's the illustration Bill is refering to, I'm not sure that's the correct one though. It's for a B-F500. I'm also posting the same illustration for the 73-76 and the 77-79 F100-350.

It's the last link. 1977/79 F100/350. This is the only pic that shows the 16154 bracket, the Bronco only parts and etc.

Thank you to both of you. For the price I will most likely be charged for these, I'll pick them up this week. A little more structural rigidity never hurt anything.
While these illustrations are up, Is part number 16C181 a rubber water/dust shield? I've never seen this part before.

Here is some more strange factory bracing. I have never came across that pipe brace before. The small piece sitting on there went behind the hood hinges to firm up the hinge mounting area for some reason.
