I just remembered a gentleman that helped greatly on here. Can't remember his name but I know he was a retired Ford Parts man and used to look up part numbers and so on. Know who I am referring to?
That would be NumberDummy, who most often hangs out in the 61-66 & 67-72 forums. He does check in here frequently.
Are you not aware of him,Bob?He was 10 years(I think) selling Studebaker parts in his family's business, till thy went defunct, then did 30 more as a Ford parts man. He's got a near photographic memory, and helps me - and hundreds of others - locate NOS parts.Man,is he good, and thankfully is rather long-suffering, as I pester him a bit.
I just used the ? mark to ask if Numberdummy was the member he was thinking of. I know Numberdummy been around a long time and have helped a lot of members in their quest for parts.
O-Julie we left it open on purpose just for you to come back and tell us your a man.....

I had been away for awhile and just got caught up on the Julie Dan thing. I read the entire post and had some good laughs. I read this entire post also. There have been a lot of great people helping out. I'll try and keep a better record so I can refer to specicic information on demand.
The people here are still the greatest bunch. I was sadened at the deceit though. I came in late 2007 and did not know of Dan
im not one of the names you guys would be thinking of, but i had thought the same thing as bob did when he started this thread. i dont think ive ever posted in the 48- 60 forum before because i dont own one, so i dont have questions about them nor do i have excess info about them to give out.
i recently had a near death experience ( sounds cliche but i truely believe this was) and i spent quite a while away from FTE due to being in the hospital and in rehab. somewhere along the lines i thought, " i wonder if anyone noticed im not posting online anymore?" i dont really post much in any of the boards on FTE, im more of a lurker, i signed up to read build threads since they're purdy dern amusing to read. but i told my story on a different site i frequent, and wouldn't ya know it, a few of em noticed. i was a little surprised because i wasnt extremely active on that one before my accident either.
so i guess ya just gotta give people some time off when they have bigger things goig on and they'll come back
Sorry guys, I just couldnt help it I heard this today on the Sirius radio and thought about this thread and laughed about it and couldnt wait to put this on here.
