I've often thought and I'm sure there are others with the same thoughts that if we were ever to stop posting would anyone take notice.

It is a very good thread to start and hope we don't get too much bad news about the missing members.

I talked to DeWayne Redding AKA fatfenders several times on the phone last year when we were trying to figure out what to do with Earl. He's still got his '53, but he's also got a Mustang racetrack toy that he's been playing with quite a lot. I think he spends a lot of time over on the Corral. I know he was supposed to follow Uncle Sam over to the big sandbox and play amongst the pyramids this year. I'll see if I can find his e-mail addy and drop him a line.

sailed off an email to Fenders and Himmelberg a while ago... so maybe we'll hear from them...

still some more I don't have contact info on... Kai and Darkman and a couple of Steves... guess everyone's life fills up their time sometimes. I know for a couple of years with my grandson... nothing mattered over getting him well...

Our priorities change daily.. sometimes for just a day or so but sadly sometimes for a lot longer. I'm sure with the shape the economy is in and the unemployment rate soaring and so many changes in the business world that some of us have had to push their hobbies and interests to the side and concentrate on earning a living and providing for our families... or extended families. That's much more important than old trucks (barely) but you don't forget old friends and wonder how they are...

This site has been a great place for and to me... let's me stay connected and inspired and jealous and ashamed all at the same time... Been hanging here since '97 and still refer to threads I've printed out from those days...

Thanks Bob for the post and the reminder to think about those missing in our daily lives... brought back some good memories or long threads... dumb jokes... songs written to harrass and some of the best times I've had... now I've got a couple of old cousins I've got to find..

later
John

and BTW a day with the Julie crap is ok with me

Some more, not sure if they've been on here lately or not. Just some that crossed my mind as I go through old pics I saved from here.

I know these have popped in from time to time, but just don't post as often. I suppose when the truck nears completion, the needs for info cease, and the fun begins. I'd like to see pics of them done while at carshows, too though. Tacson posts a few from time to time.

John, I think you're right in that everyone has slowed the progress and participation down due to the economic times we're in.

I won't post the link, but you can search for "Advertising Spam", it was a 1400+ post thread.....It was annoying, troubling, sad, funny, scary, some loved it, some hated it, many loved and hated it at the same time....read at your own risk.

Another of the missing is Marty, aka HD74, with the French flattie in the 51 F-1. I dropped him a PM to check on him and invited him to post here if he gets a chance.
