You know I'm also curious about some of the older guys like Kia. There are others too that I have forgotten their handles. There are also a whole lot of new names here.
As for me; I have been through a bit since I was on here regularly. Didn't have a computer for some time, got married in 2006 and the truck got waylaid in Texas with me stuck in Oklahoma (in good company), graduated in 2008 with the economy in wonderful condition, given a notice to have my truck removed in fall of 2009, and found a job in Arkansas in December of 2009, had a baby the 2 weeks later in January, after living in treeless territory almost my whole life 5 months in Arkansas and a tree falls on our home (rental!), moved to one of worst towns in America but now I have a garage! Once or twice in there I decided to sell the truck but luckily driving some GM products sent me running back.
Now the baby is getting older and my daily driver is driving me crazy I'm ready to get the truck done. Hopefully I'll get more time for posting now!
Anybody heard anything from Bruce Lee? He is an airplane restorer from GA I think? He was down at the GSM one time with his grandson. I got to thikin about him while we're on this thread and wondered what ever happened to him.
Some more, not sure if they've been on here lately or not. Just some that crossed my mind as I go through old pics I saved from here.

I know these have popped in from time to time, but just don't post as often. I suppose when the truck nears completion, the needs for info cease, and the fun begins. I'd like to see pics of them done while at carshows, too though. Tacson posts a few from time to time.

John, I think you're right in that everyone has slowed the progress and participation down due to the economic times we're in.
IM still alive!!!! I have not had a real good year so far to date but things are starting to get better for me. Dont worry i still have the truck and plan on never selling it! I just have hit the wall kinda in a way with the truck. Its sad in a way but i wish i had some friends that where into what i was so they could come over and hang and kinda help out with out really helping just a little nudge to get the ball rolling. I wonder sometimes that im so deep into the darkside everything is just custom made or heavily modified! It takes a toll on the mind and wallet. Well enuff of me crying, Glad to see something made me pop in and see this POST! Thanks HAVI!!!! It means alot when someone thinks about someone from time to time to ask how they are doing!!
There was also a guy on here from somewhere in Canada. Seems like his name was Paul or maybe John Paul. I met him and his wife @ the Supernationals the year it was moved to Knoxville and saw him the next 2 or 3 years there also. I remember he had a really nice camera and took great pictures that he would post on here. Too many candles on my birthday cake I guess 'cause the memory just ain't what it used to be. Wish I coud "re-boot" it!! Steve

I'm kind of in the same boat ,would like a friend that shares the same interests and to hang out with. If we were closer things could work out. I'm concidered a darksider too.
That's exactly right, the saftey orange Autoban Hauler. Wasn't sure about the spelling. I think he was on the verge of putting it back together when he said bye, but that was years ago.
I still lurk around and used to post pretty regularly years ago. Progress on my projects has slowed considerably. Most of that was a result of me joining the local volunteer fire department. Haven't regretted it for a minute but it keeps me pretty busy. There seems to be no shortage of people who do stupid stuff.
I also took up guitar as a hobby and it ranks right up there with old trucks on how fast you can blow a wad of cash. It has taken some time and money away from truck building but not a lot. Took the family up to the Dash to the Dells show the last five years but was informed by the wife that it's not the family tradition I thought it had become so we won't be making the trip up this year. Fortunately, I'm a Cubs fan and we live by "there's always next year"...

Kevin - sorry I'll miss you this year. I expect it will be a good show like always. I'm still not close to having a truck to take, and have now added another old M-H wreck to the fleet. Maybe I'm just a junk collector!
Us Cardinal fans are singing the same "next year" blues these days. Brewers fans are livin' large right now (while they can until Fielder leaves). Hope Pujols doesn't become a Cub!!!! Stu
