I wonder what kind of transmission/differential it has. Front wheel drive from a Tornado or something, maybe?
Good question. I don't think it has a Toronado drive train, though. Toro's have a unique positive offset wheel, and those are conventional. It would be a lot wider than that old chevy, too, akin to putting a crown vic unit under a 40 Ford. Frankly, I question if it was ever a driver at all.
What say ye? Chrome plated sheet metal? Photoshop? Wrap? (also seen on FB today)
If it is a warp then someone spent a lot of time doing it.
Years ago I tried to find shops to chrome wrap my flare side bumpers and only 1 shop out of 5 would wrap them but would not in chrome only SS.
They said when smoothing it out it would scratch and why the SS. They also want $600 to $800 for 2 bumpers and a 6 weel wait. That is when I stopped for silver spray paint & clear.
There is a product that is a spray on that chrome plates anything even plastic.
The Lotus Europa was kind of an oddball in its own right. I got to do some fiberglass repair work on one once. As I recall it has no real chassis, in step with Colin Chapman's idea of light weight over anything else for his cars. The engine/transaxle and front suspension bits just bolt to the one piece fiberglass tub. It looked pretty sketchy.
