Ok for what ever reason unknown to me my 1995, F150XLT Sandy (aka Butch or Barge) wants to give me the abs light every time i drive it, but after a random amount of time (no specific pattern i can see) it shuts off as if nothing is wrong, but this light makes me want to think something is amiss some how...
my breaks are perfectly fine no issues they still work and function as they did the day i got the truck so no abnormal behaviors present except for the light (which i need to start replacing the bulbs anyways as some are burnt out), so what could be going on with the light and what should i look for and do?
The light is on because the computer is storing a code for the system. There is a way to read ABS computer codes but I've never done it but a search in here should turn up directions.
Does your speedometer work? The ABS computer and the speedo use the same sensor in the rear axle.

speedo does work just fine, and tach works just fine, break master cylinder was replaced when i had the whole rear end break job done on the truck so that should be just fine...
just becuase something is replaced doesnt mean it cant be defective...like i said that was the problem on my 90 im not sure how all that works on 95. i was just throwing out there what fixed my abs light.
The RABS diagnostic connector, I think, should be behind the glovebox. Should be a colored wire (possibly orange/white) with a connector connecting it to a black wire. If you can find it, then turn the ign key to on and momentarily ground the colored wire, the light should start to flash out any trouble codes.
Having said that the RABS is not much use anyway and all the light is telling you is that the computer has detected a fault and has disabled the system, leaving you with normal brakes, just no RABS.
ok well as long as i can drive it normally im not too concerned with it for now just needed to figure out if it was just saying "hey dumb @$$ your breaks are *****ed over" or somethin like that
