P1316 Code. IDM Is this a normal code?

P1316 Code. IDM Is this a normal code?
I have a P1316 Code (IDM). I have cleared it once only to have it come back. Is it normal for this code to reappear after the engine has been started or shut down?
99 F-250 SD CC 4X4 7.3L manufacture date 11/98. Any info would be great.

Welcome, P1316 is a code that refers to the IDM having codes stored in it, you need to retrieve the codes from the IDM to further investigate, what are you using to pull codes, did you perform a KOEO check? How is the truck performing? The 1316 is quite common, and many times it is the UVCH (Under Valve Cover Harness) has worked it's way loose.

The truck is running fine now. Now from the beginning. I noticed my "service eng soon" light had come on and did notice that the truck was running rough. After about 2 min, the light went out. This cycled about 3 times and finally went out with no further problems. I used a "auto xray EZ Scan 4000" to pull the codes. All codes were removed. When I got home from work I rechecked the codes and the P1316 was their. I hope this helps.
